But Nayantara wants to keep the momement special and has decided not to appear in any other movie in a bikini again.“I still get compliments for my bikini shot in Billa. It’s been a while since its release, but my look in the film has received wide appreciation. I was given an option to wear a one-piece swimsuit if I was not okay with appearing in a bikini. But I was aware that I had the right attitude, so when I wore it for the shot, I was really comfortable. Rumours were there that I was paid a bomb for wearing the bikini, but there’s no truth in it. I will never wear a two-piece for a film again! I’ve done it once and I am happy the audience accepted me. So if I did it again, I don’t think it’ll remain special. I also believe in doing things just once and I don’t believe in repeating my act,” says Nayantara to a national news paper.
Nayan will be seen opposite to Rajinikanth in Kuselan which had its audio release today. The movie is expected to hit the screens by the end of this month.

Kuselan Songs audio CD’s and cassettes will officially hit the market on July 1st. The audio launch function of superstar starrer Kuselan is said to be one day before on June 30th. The first lot of one lakh CDs and 25 thousands Cassettes reached Chennai city from Mumbai yesterday. The distribution of CDs to all the retailers will start tomorrow.
Reliance Entertainment group’s Big Music got the audio rights for a record amount of Rs.2.25 crores.

Mama Hema Malini had decided to produce a movie for daughter Esha Deol, whose career graph is on a downward swing. The movie was to be directed by actress turned director Revathi. KAMAL'S NEXT MOVIE MARMAYOGI MOVIE POSTPONED
The Marmayogi launch, which was scheduled in Mumbai for July 13th is said to be postponed to July 25th according to industry buzz. Incidentally July 25th is said to be the release of the much awaited Rajinikanth movie Kuselan. But the dates of both the Marmayogi pooja and release of Kuselan film is not confirmed yet.
Kamal’s Marmayogi, is said to be a historical adventure romantic film with an ‘A’ list of actors. He has already contacted Bollywood actress Kajol, to play the heroine in this film, which will have music by A.R Rahman . The others including technicians are being worked out. Pyramid Saimira International Films, the producer of ‘Marmayogi’, has awarded the production rights to Kamal Haasan based on ‘first copy’.
Marmayogi is envisaged as a massive bi-lingual in Hindi and Tamil.

Radhika has not filed for the president’s post in the upcoming election, but has gone ahead and filed nomination for the secretary’s post. Panju Arunachalam has filed nomination for the President’s post opposite Rama Narayanan. S A Chandrasekaran, A M Rathnam, Kameela Nazar and Radhakrishnan have filed nomination for the administrative council members.
Elections to the Producers’ council falls on the 6th of next month. Keyaar said Panchu Aruchalam is highly respected in the film industry and is a good administrator too and hence he has been selected for contesting against Rama Narayanan, the incumbent president of the council. The judge permitted the Election Officer and his assistants to take police help during the elections and during the counting of votes and also videograph the polling and counting of votes.
The court’s intervention was sought by the Keyaar group on the grounds that the elections would not be free and fair unless A.V.M. Murugan was replaced as election officer. Rama Narayanan, president, Tamil Film Producers Council, has the backing of Kalaignar TV and political outfits such as DMK, VCK and PMK.

Vogue India’s July issue hit the stands yesterday (July 24th) and guess who is the ravishing beauty on it. None other than our own Asin Thottumkal. It has been a fruitful journey for this young lass, who is very excited on being featured on the latest issue of the Vogue magazine.
This was her first shoot for a fashion magazine and Asin is said to have had a very memorable experiance shooting for it. It took 25 years to make it happen. But I have to make it sure that other than the title and some of the characters nothing in the film will resembles the earlier movie,” he said.
Quite a challenge Producer of the film, H. Murali, exuded confidenc in his new venture. “Decision to do a historical itself proved to be a big challenge for me. I am of the firm belief that the plot and screenplay will make this movie a success.” Narasimha Raju, who performed the role of the hero in the old movie, also has a part to play as the father of the hero, Raja, in this film. while a gorgeous looking Namitha performs the character did by Jayamalini.
Nila seems to be a perfect fit for the role of the prince’s consort. Once into the shoot, one could realise how difficult it is to make a historical film. The director made sure that right from the footwear to the objects present on the field reflected the period of the film. Probably for the first time, Ilayaraja, who has done the music score for the movie, visited the shooting spot at Tirumalai Nayak Palace here, where the puja for the film was held recently. Sexy Nayantara stills from Sathyam
Action hero Vishal will storm the screens in July with his cop flick Sathyam, which is all set for release. The hero will be seen for the first time, sharing screen space with rumoured love interest Nayanthara. Directed by Rajasekhar, a one-time associate of director Suresh Krissna, the film features Vishal in the role of a cop for the first time. Kannada actor Upendra plays a prominent role in the film. The director promises the film to be a slickly packed actioner.
In the Sathyam movie Vishal’s house is filled with children from the entire block and Nayan finds it difficult to spend quality time with her beau. More often than not, she ends up fighting with the kids for space. It is learnt that this sequence has been shot recently and the rushes promise good entertainment for family audience.
Besides, Sathyam also features an animation song with the Nayan – Vishal couple and the kids. “I have had numerous experiences during previous shoots but nothing quite like this,” Nayan was quoted as saying about the association with kids for the movie.
The Sathyam film has some scintillating songs by Harris Jayraj and the stunts are supposed to be brilliant. According to sources close to the director, ‘The action scenes have come good. Sathyam would be a landmark movie for Vishal. The action-lovers are in for a big treat. Looks like Vishal is all set for stardom with the release of Sathyam, which will surely scorch the screens.

Non bailable warrant against Actor Prakash Raj
Actor Prakash Raj landed himself in yet another trouble. Prakash Raj woes continue. A court in Rajahmundry had issued a non-bailable warrant (NBW) against Prakash Raj for not appearing before a court in a cheque bounce case. Prakash Raj owes Rs 5 lakh chequ to a financier Janardhan Reddy in Ramachandra Puram in East Godavari. The check issued by Prakash Raj was bounced and he sent a notice. The court asked the star to appear before it on Thursday. Prakash Raj, however, did not turn up before the court prompting it to issue a NBW against him. Already Prakash Raj is facing deep crisis in personal and professional life. Tollywood has already put on ban on him.

She changed the spelling of her name from 'Hansika' to 'Hansikaa' on Himesh's advice.
She gained a lot of weight for the movie 'Aap Ka Surroor' to look mature enough for Himesh, but now she is on a strict diet and working and has lost that extra weight.

Malayalam director Vinayan’s Tamil venture ‘Naalai Namadhae’ commenced on last Friday. Malayalam director Vinayan who had directed ‘Kasi’, ‘En Manava Vanil’ and ‘Arputha Theevu’ in Tamil, commenced his next Tamil movie is Naalai Namadhae. Naalai Namadhae is being produced Jana Seva, an orphanage in Kerala. The movie will also tell a plot based on estranged children who make a living by begging in the streets. Speaking on the film, Vinayan said that he did not like directing top actors since he had to compromise with the script to suit to their tastes and mass appeal. Also he added that “he is comfortable and content in making films with new faces”. Features newcomers Ram and Thanusha in lead roles, proceeds from ‘Naalai Namathe’ would be utilized for maintaining the orphanage. The movie which has already started its shoot will feature child actress Sanusha in the lead with able support from Kiran, Rajan P Dev and Manivarnan. The movie being shot at Coimbatore is produced by Jose Maveli in the banner of Janseva Sishu Bhavan films.

Uliyin Osai (Sounds of a Chisel), is a movie based on Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M. Karunanidhi short story written decades ago. Giving details about his work on which the film was based, Karunanidhi revealed that the short story penned at the Brihadeswarar temple at Thanjavur, some 300 km south of capital Chennai was a fictional account of the real reason for historical records that omitted 27 Bharatnatyam dance poses of the original 108 found in the sculptures. The temple, built in the 11th century has a 215-feet high tower that does not cast a shadow. Uliyin Osai features actors Vineet as the sculptor and Sarath Babu as the famous Chola king Rajarajan.

Danush’s next movie after Padikkathavan will be a remake of Bollywood hit movie ‘Jab We Met’. The buzz was that Danush and Trisha will be playing the lead roles in the movie. But looks like Shriya Saran who is trying to regain her hold in Kollywood has been sucessful in convincing the producers Moser Baer in roping her opposite to Danush in this yet to be titled film. Ragasiya in Indira Vizha
Rahasiya who is better know for her item numbers and became a known face after her item song ‘Sirichi, Sirichi Vandha Seena Thana’ from the film Vasool Raja MBBS is going to do more than dance in her next movie Indira Vizha. She will be seen in the role of an undercover journalist that Malavika was originally signed for. Malavika who is pregnant now will not be able to do the film and director Rajeshwar has decided to replace her with Rahasiya. Her role required one who could both act and dance. Swarnamalya was also considered for the role but the director finally zeroed in on Rahasiya.

PRAKASH RAJ BANNED TO ACT IN TELUGU MOVIES
In a media release on friday 30th May, Andhra Pradesh Producers Film Council has banned actor Prakash Raj, and urged film makers not to make him a part of their productions. This has been the result of a lot of complaints the producers council has been recieving for Prakash Raj’s unprofessional attitude like turning up late for shoots and causing delays in projects which results in huge loss for the producers.The state council had once before banned Prakash Raj, on the request of producers, from acting in Telugu films but after the actor staged a hunger strike the ban was lifted and a warning given. Inspiteof the warning, Prakash Raj continued in his unprofessional ways which has resulted in his current ban.
Losing sleep? Blame it on long working hours
"Nearly 10 per cent of Indians are suffering from sleep disorders and the problem is increasing," said Garima Shukla, a neurologist at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) here.
Incidentally, the first week of April is observed as the insomnia week in several countries.
Said Shukla, "Our young generation and even schoolgoing teenagers are falling victim to insomnia. Long working hours, watching TV and surfing the internet are the leading causes of this problem.
"There is at least a 50 per cent increase in patient flow. Pressure in the work field, changing socio-cultural problems, lack of emotional support are the other reasons why people are losing sleep," Shukla told IANS.
"These days, youngsters are sleeping for just two or three hours while their body metabolism asks for longer sleep hours. Psychiatric problems like fear of failure, of losing one's near and dear ones are adding fuel to the sleep disorder problem," she said.
Manvir Bhatia, a neurologist at Sir Ganga Ram Hospital, said she is getting a lot of patients aged below 40.
"Earlier, I used to get one or two patients per week but currently, the number has gone up to 20. Office pressure, habits like watching TV are causing the sleep disorder," Bhatia said.
"Fewer number of sleeping hours are leading to a problem called sleep debt. And accumulation of this debt leads to stress, blood pressure and many other health problems," she said.
According to medical literature, insomnia is 1.5 times more prevalent in adults over 65 years of age than in other adults. Women are more likely to report insomnia than men.
However, Bhatia said, in urban India it's the young population, mainly working groups, who are facing the heat.
"Yes, women are more prone to this problem. Women who are working as well as doing their domestic work are more likely to develop sleep disorder," she tells.
"The problem is insomnia can change human metabolism and some chronic patients are developing obesity and diabetic problem. Our body follows a clock and any disruption in that can cause problem," Bhatia said.
She said many call centre employees are showing signs of acute insomnia as they work night shifts.
Shukla said crumbling family values and the desire to succeed at any cost are creating a lot of problems for youngsters.
"Those (youngsters) in metropolitan cities have developed a false sense of confidence. They are working hard, staying without much family support and earning well but at the cost of a peaceful life," said Shukla.
Confirming the fear expressed by experts, many young professionals said they could not sleep properly at night. A few said they were relying on sleeping pills.
'Yes, I stay in office for more than 12 hours. And it has started taking a toll - I cannot sleep at least till 3 a.m. at night,' said Sahil Arora, a media person.
Shradha Sharma, a BPO employee, said, "I am working at night and sleeping at day time. And for the last few months, I have been losing sleep. There is a lot of stress and am taking a medium dose sleeping pill to get sound sleep."
Working women work longer hours than men
London, December 6 : Balancing jobs and family life has career women working more each week than men, says a new study.
The study, led by Dr Brendan Burchell, a senior lecturer in sociology at the Cambridge University, housework and childcare were condemning millions of career women to much longer working days than men.
The findings were based on analysis from more than 30,000 people.
The study found that the average man in full-time employment works about 55 hours a week. In the UK this figure includes about 3.6 hours commuting, and eight hours of domestic work such as cleaning, cooking and childcare.
In contrast to this, the average working week for a woman in full-time employment in the European Union is 68 hours.
For British women that comprises of - 40 hours in the office, 3.3 hours commuting and 23 hours a week spent doing domestic work. However, women who work part time put in longer hours overall than men in full-time work, because the never-ending household chores.
The study showed that women with part-time jobs worked on average 57 hours a week, i.e. made up of 21.3 hours in paid work, 2.4 hours commuting and 32.7 hours of domestic work.
The analysis revealed that the domestic workload prevented millions of women from working the long office hours typically required to break into the top management jobs on high salaries.
In the UK, women make up just under half the workforce, but they represent less than a third of legislators, managers and senior officials.
The report said that the lifestyle divide must change if women are to have equal opportunities in the workplace.
"The working lifestyles of most people in Europe still seem to be determined by gender," Telegraph quoted Burchell, as saying.
"A lot of women feel they don't have choices. They have children with a partner and reduce their hours in the early stages of a child's life and when they want to re-establish themselves in their careers and in terms of their earning power, they are so far behind their husbands," he said.
"There should be more equal career breaks between men and women when children are born - for instance, by encouraging men to take their parental leave entitlements," he added.
Shirley Conran, author of the 1975 bestseller Superwoman and founder of the Work-Life Balance Trust, said that women needed to fight for 'domestic democracy', with men sharing a bigger burden of the chores and childcare at home. (ANI)
