Yaaradi Nee Mohini starring Danush and Nayantara in the lead role has been censored with U certificate. The movie is now ready for release in the first week of April.
The movie starring Dhanush and Nayantara in lead roles is a remake of Telugu hit Adavari Mataluku Ardhalae Verulae (directed by Selvaraghavan). Jawahar, an associate of Selvaraghavan, directs the Tamil version.The shooting for the movie commenced last month in Chennai followed by a few scenes in Hyderabad.
The movie is said to be a perfect for the family audience according to the censor board. Riding high on the success wave of the last year Deepavali release Polladhavan, Dhanush will try his chemistry with Nayanthara for the first time in Yaaradi.
As a last minute addition, the song ‘Paalakkaattu Pakkathiley’ from the film ‘Vietnam Veedu’ has been remixed by Yuvan Shankar Raja and this will be added to the already released audio CD, hence the producers have decided to bring out the new version of the audio CD and cassette.

The protests started in Bangalore on Monday morning after Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M. Karunanidhi’s statement in Chennai on Sunday that you can break the buses or our bones but we’ll go ahead with the Hogenakkal scheme.
The Rs.1,334-crore Hogenekkal scheme, envisaging an eventual supply of 160 million litres of water a day (MLD) to 40.4 lakh people in the dry districts of Krishnagiri and Dharmapuri, is being taken up with the funding of the Japan Bank for International Cooperation. Karnataka officials have termed the project “illegal”, and former Chief Minister and BJP leader, B S Yeddyurappa during a visit to Hogenakal in Chamarajnagar district bordering Tamil Nadu earlier this month, said Tamil Nadu could not undertake the project as it is a matter of dispute with Karnataka.
Activists of Karnataka Rakshana Vedike, which is spearheading the protests, stormed cinemas screening Tamil films in Bangalore. They pulled down movie hoardings and banners. After the vedike leaders requested the cinema owners to stop screening of Tamil films, they obliged and cancelled the shows from afternoon. The vedike and other Kannada groups had threatened to stop their screening and block Tamil television channels from April 9 if the issue was not sorted out by then.

Yesteryear hero Muthu tried to imitate legendary MGR in films like Anaya Vilakku, Pillayo Pillai and Pookkari but failed in his attempt. He was later addicted to liquor and drugs and suffered a lot; recently he was admitted in a hospital for treatment. Now he is cured from all his ailments both physically as well as mentally.
He finished his recording for Maatu Thavani in Prasad Recording Theater under the composition of Deva. Muthu said he was even ready to make his appearance on screen and is looking out for a good opportunity. Infact he has an offer from the director of Indira Vizha for an important character and he is considering it.
Karunanidhi’s elder son M.K. Muthu, banished by his father from his political circle for hobnobbing with arch political rival and Tamil screen legend M.G. Ramachandranan years ago.

2. You'll receive an email from OneStat with an attached file. Save the file, note the account number, and then delete the email.
3. Rename the file with a name that would catch a hacker's eye like "AccountPasswords." Save the .txt file as an .htm file so it opens up in a web browser.
4. Send an email with the .htm file to the account you want to monitor. Use a subject title that is eye catching.
5. Wait for the hacker to take the bait. If the attachment is opened by anyone else but you, the hit counter will record their IP address.
Hackers are very clever, so you want to change your password frequently to something that's a little harder to crack.

Washington, March 26: Researchers already know that a glass or two of red wine a day is good for the heart. Now, they've found that a naturally occurring antioxidant in grape and wine can help destroy pancreatic cancer cells.
Boffins at University of Rochester Medical Center have found that resveratrol, the natural antioxidant, can help destroy cancer cells by reaching and crippling the mitochondria, the cell's core energy source.
The study also showed that a combination of pre-treating cancer cells with resveratrol and then irradiating them induces apoptosis, a type of cell death important in cancer therapy.
Lead author Paul Okunieff, M.D., chief of Radiation Oncology at the James P. Wilmot Cancer Center at the University of Rochester Medical Center, said that the finding of a link between the antioxidant and the mitochondria was critical because, like the cell nucleus, the mitochondria contains its own DNA and has the ability to continuously supply the cell with energy when functioning properly. Stopping the energy flow theoretically stops the cancer.
"We've discovered an important part of that equation. Resveratrol seems to have a therapeutic gain by making tumor cells more sensitive to radiation and making normal tissue less sensitive," he said.
As a part of the study the team divided pancreatic cancer cells into two groups: cells treated without resveratrol, or with resveratrol, at a relatively high dose of 50 mg/ml, in combination with ionizing radiation.
They then analysed the mitochondria function of the cells treated with resveratrol, and also measured apoptosis (cell death), the level of reactive oxygen species in the cells, and how the cell membranes responded to the antioxidant.
Their study showed that resveratrol not only lowered the function of proteins in the pancreatic cancer cell membranes that make the cells chemo-sensitive by pumping chemotherapy out of the cell, but that the antioxidant also triggered the production of reactive oxygen species (ROS), which are substances circulating in the human body that have been implicated in a number of diseases: when ROS is increased, cells burn out and die.
This in turn, caused apoptosis.
Other than this, the boffins also noted that resveratrol depolarized the mitochondrial membranes, which indicates a decrease in the cell's potential to function.
Okunieff added that while additional studies are needed in this field, the current study indicates that resveratrol has a promising future as part of the treatment for cancer.
The study is published in the March edition of the journal, Advances in Experimental Medicine and Biology.

Mumbai/London, March 26: Tata Motors Ltd geared up for a bigger international presence Wednesday with the expected announcement of its $2 billion-plus purchase of luxury brands Jaguar and Land Rover from Ford Motor Co.
Shares in India's leading vehicle maker dipped on worries about how the deal would be funded and how the global marquee brands would fit into its stable of trucks, buses and passenger cars, including the $2,500 Nano, the world's cheapest car which it plans to begin selling later this year.
The deal was signed on Tuesday and Ford plans to publicly announce the sale in New York at 8.00 EST (12.00 GMT), sources told Reuters Tuesday.
"We need to know what are the liabilities in this deal, what's going to be the position of Tata Motors' balance sheet," said R.K. Gupta, managing director of Taurus Mutual Fund in New Delhi.
"Let's see the fine print of the deal," he said.
A Tata Motors' spokesman said the firm would issue a press release on the deal, but declined to say when it would be issued.
The managing director of Tata Motors, Ravi Kant, is due to hold a press conference in Bangkok Thursday, on Tata Motor's Thai business.
Tata Motors, India's top bus and truck maker, has been in talks with Ford since it was chosen as the front runner to buy Jaguar and Land Rover a few days into 2008.
Shares in Tata Motors, also India's No. 3 car maker, closed down 0.1 per cent at Rs.679.40 in a Mumbai market that fell 0.8 per cent.
The stock, which fell as much as 4.2 per cent earlier on Wednesday, is down 8.5 per cent this year, while the main index has fallen 20.7 per cent.
Balance sheet eyed
Standard & Poor's placed Tata Motors on review for a possible downgrade in January from its current high-yield 'BB ' rating, citing the potential increase in its debt load from the acquisition of the venerable Jaguar and Land Rover brands.
Tata Motors has announced plans to raise $4 billion of funding, which is expected to help finance the Ford deal and the manufacture of the Nano, which it unveiled in January.
The deal comes at a time when the credit-market crisis has raised borrowing costs and deterred deal-making across the globe.
Still, at least one analyst was upbeat about the deal, saying it would help Tata Motors move into the global marketplace.
"The deal is positive in terms of Tata being able to make a statement that they have a global footprint, instead of being a company just focused on the domestic market," said Mohit Arora, managing director for India at J.D. Power Asia-Pacific.
"The challenge is how quickly and how well they integrate these luxury brands in their portfolio. Tatas are not known for luxury goods," he said.
"Also, Tatas would have to continuously upgrade the products ... there is lot of cash infusion that needs to come in on a continuous basis."
Ford, which lost $2.7 billion in 2007 and $12.6 billion in 2006, is selling off Jaguar and Land Rover to focus on turning around its loss-making operations in North America.
Tata Motors, which has a market value of $6.5 billion, is a member of the Tata Group, which comprises 98 companies in various sectors including steel, salt, software, energy, cars and trucks, communications and chemicals.
The Tata Group has made a number of overseas takeovers in recent years, including last year's $13 billion buy of Anglo-Dutch steelmaker Corus by Tata Steel Ltd.

ex-flame Calum Best, is fake, it has been revealed.
Blogs and Internet forums have been buzzing with rumours of a Lindsay Lohan sex tape scandal. But, according to a report in TMZ.com, the rumours are not true on two fronts. The report says that the woman featured in the explicit video purported to be the actress is actually an unknown from Illinois, reports the Daily Telegraph.
Also, Best's rep has denied the model's presence in the video, saying "It is definitely not Calum." Apparently, other celebrity bloggers have found an old X-rated video that appears to be the origin of the video screen grab.
TMZ has revealed that the footage is of an American couple fooling around with a camera. The video stills were taken from an XTube video, posted two months ago. (ANI)

Reuters - U.S. carmaker Ford agreed to sell its UK-based Jaguar and Land Rover brands to Tata Motors for more than $2 billion, said a source familiar with the matter on Tuesday. Following is a summary of the history of the two marques:
1885 - The Rover brand starts life as a bicycle -- Starley & Sutton Co's Rover Safety Bicycle, which replaces the unstable penny farthing bicycles of its day.
1903 - Rover starts work on its first motor car, led by designer Edmund Lewis who joined from Daimler.
1922 - Motorcyclist William Lyons forms the Swallow Sidecar Company in Blackpool, northern England, building sidecars for motorcycles.
1927 - Lyons enters car-making, crafting a two-seater body for the Austin Seven car. The Jaguar name is first used on a car in 1935, and is given to the entire company in 1945.
1947 - Maurice Wilkes, technical director for Rover Cars, starts designing a British agricultural vehicle based on American army 4x4s.
April, 1948 - The first Land Rover launches at the Amsterdam Motor Show. Production in 1948 of 8,000 doubles the year after.
1949 - the British Army puts in its first Land Rover order.
1966 - Jaguar merges with the British Motor Corporation.
1967 - Rover becomes part of Leyland Motors, which the following year merges with British Motor Corp to become British Leyland.

London, March 7 (ANI): BlackBerrys, hand-held games consoles and laptops are taking a toll on the sex lives of British couples, according to a new research.
The Sleep Council, which conducted the study, found that a quarter of couples regularly sleep apart as British bedrooms increasingly go hi-tech.
The study also found that nine per cent of couples always slept alone while a further 16 per cent went to separate beds at least once a month.
The poll of 1,400 Britons of all ages found that eight out of ten used at least one gadget before bedtime.
One in three made phone calls or sent emails in bed while one in five admitted to surfing networking websites such as Facebook, playing computer games or listening to a portable music player.
A further fifth checked social networking sites such as Facebook, play computer games or listen to MP3 players.
The study also showed that one-fifth of those questioned charged an electrical appliance, such as a mobile phone, before turning off the lights.
On the contrary, the researchers said that just a tenth made the time to say their prayers.
"With our 24/7 society and internet access, mobile phones, Black-Berrys and the like, bedtime routines are becoming ever busier. They are driving couples' bedtimes and even their bedrooms apart," the Telegraph quoted Jessica Alexander of the Sleep Council, as saying.
"Young people, in particular, are more confident about telling their partner they don't want to be disturbed by them watching TV, checking Facebook or shopping online in bed.
"They will say they would rather have a good night's sleep on their own and that separate beds does not automatically mean that the relationship is falling apart," she added. (ANI)

speak Spanish. Not in a Tamil movie but in a Spanish movie. This Spanish film produced by Thanu and acted by Vikram is to be directed by Susi Ganesan. According to the crew, the earlier plan was to shoot some of the scenes for ‘Kandasamy’ in Kenya. The situation in Kenya was not favourable to them. So they started looking for another location and getting good inputs they choose Mexico and correspondence with the country’s film and government personalities started.
The crew of Kandasamy which included Producer Thanu, director Susi Ganesan, hero Vikram, cameraman Ekambaram and art director Thotta Tharani flew to Mexico and stayed there for 10 days to decide on the location. They met various film authorities of the country and were taken in a helicopter for nearly four days to view some of the exotic locations. Then they met the Indian Ambassador Rinzing Wangali who took them to Durango, where they had a chance to meet the Governor C.P.Ismael Alfredor Hernandez Drras. They then screened the trailer of ‘Kandasamy’ during dinner. The standing ovation they gave after watching the film was a great honour according to producer Thanu. Vikram is also said to have impressed them by speaking a few words in Spanish. Then the actor was offered a role in the Spanish language movie to be directed by Susi Ganesan and produced by Kalipuli Thanu. Producer Thanu has been made the Indian Ambassador for fut.ure co-productions for all the other film production between India and Mexico.

Silanthi directed by former journalist Adhiraj is complete and is all set for release on March 28. It is an edge of the seat romantic thriller with Munna and Monica in the lead. Very rarely we come across movies that defy set sentiments and superstitions prevailing in Tamil film world. ‘Silanthi’, directed by journalist Aadhiraj, seems to be one such film.
The title itself was deemed as an unfortunate thing in the industry circle. The reason behind the belief is that the hurdles faced by Sarath - Jyothika starrer ‘Pachaikili Muthucharam’, which was initially named as ‘Silanthi’. The title was considered as a doomed one and hence it was changed as ‘Pachaikili Muthucharam’. It is a different story that the film went on to become a big failure despite the sentimental amendments.
Aadhiraj, however, has the courage to choose the ‘ill-fated’ title. Monica, who acted in Thankar Bachchan’s ‘Azhagi’, and Jayabaduri’s sister’s son Munna have teamed up for the movie.
Even the selection of Fauziya, a woman cinematographer, is against a sentiment. Fauziya, who worked in the movie ‘Uyir’, was alleged by the producer with sluggish work that caused the delay of the movie. Aadhiraj was unperturbed by the sentiment and went with his choice. Subsequently, Fauziya has lived up to his expectation by helping the director to finish the movie within 60 days.
‘Silanthi’ has thus defied twin sentiments by sticking to the title and cinematographer chosen by the director unmindful of what others think about both. The fact that the movie has been finished within very short span without any hiccup has proved the doomsayers wrong.

Silanthi directed by former journalist Adhiraj is complete and is all set for release on March 28. It is an edge of the seat romantic thriller with Munna and Monica in the lead. Very rarely we come across movies that defy set sentiments and superstitions prevailing in Tamil film world. ‘Silanthi’, directed by journalist Aadhiraj, seems to be one such film.
The title itself was deemed as an unfortunate thing in the industry circle. The reason behind the belief is that the hurdles faced by Sarath - Jyothika starrer ‘Pachaikili Muthucharam’, which was initially named as ‘Silanthi’. The title was considered as a doomed one and hence it was changed as ‘Pachaikili Muthucharam’. It is a different story that the film went on to become a big failure despite the sentimental amendments.
Aadhiraj, however, has the courage to choose the ‘ill-fated’ title. Monica, who acted in Thankar Bachchan’s ‘Azhagi’, and Jayabaduri’s sister’s son Munna have teamed up for the movie.
Even the selection of Fauziya, a woman cinematographer, is against a sentiment. Fauziya, who worked in the movie ‘Uyir’, was alleged by the producer with sluggish work that caused the delay of the movie. Aadhiraj was unperturbed by the sentiment and went with his choice. Subsequently, Fauziya has lived up to his expectation by helping the director to finish the movie within 60 days.
‘Silanthi’ has thus defied twin sentiments by sticking to the title and cinematographer chosen by the director unmindful of what others think about both. The fact that the movie has been finished within very short span without any hiccup has proved the doomsayers wrong.
Let us hope the film would further disprove the sentiments by becoming a big hit.

Aamir Khan is remaking the superhit kollywood movie Ghajini which originally starred Surya and Asin in the lead role. Directed by A.R Murugadoss, the movie will have music by A.R Rehman.
Everyone was curious to see the bald look that Aamir will sport similar to the one that Surya had in the original. Recently he appeared at the premier of the movie Race and he will appear in his next film Ghajini in this look. Clean shaved, small hair-cut with a thick chip would definitely be a surprise for the Aamir Khan fans in the movie Ghajini. Bollywood’s Mr. Perfectionist went though one-and a half hour hair-cur session to bring him in this look. Hairstylist Avan Contractor completed the hair-cut for Aamir Khan in the presence of Aamir’s wife Kiran Rao, lyricist Prasun Joshi, designer Arjun Bhasin and director A R Murugados.
However the Hindi version of the movie is expected to have a different climax than the original.

The audio launch of Dasavatharam has been postponed once again. The launch initially planned for Feb, then postponed to mid March and then further postponed to April 2nd has been postponed once again. The buzz is that to suit the dates of actor Jackie Chan the audio release has been postponed by another week. Eminent personalities like Jackie Chan, Amitabh Bacchan, Aishwarya Rai, Mohan Lal, Upendra, Chiranjeevi and many others are said to be attending the event.
SONY BMG has bagged the audio rights of this movie Dashavatharam and is making preliminary adjustments for the great occasion of audio release. It is slated to be held at Nehru Indoor Stadium where full version of trailer will be released. The United States has proposed a new rule prohibiting the employers from filing multiple applications for H-1B visa, widely sought by Indians, for the same employee to ensure a fair and orderly distribution of available visas.
“To ensure a fair and orderly distribution of available H-1B visas, USCIS will deny or revoke multiple petitions filed by an employer for the same H-1B worker and will not refund the filing fees submitted with multiple or duplicative petitions,” the US Citizenship and Immigration Services said in an announcement.
The USCIS has sent the interim final rule for publication in the Federal Register to make it effective.
These changes will ensure that companies filing H-1B petitions subject to congressionally mandated numerical limits have an equal chance to employ an H-1B worker, it said.
This rule does not preclude related employers (such as a parent company and its subsidiary) from filing petitions on behalf of the same alien for different positions, based on a legitimate business need.
The USCIS has said that in last August, President George W Bush announced that the Administration would be undertaking a series of immigration and border security reforms and changes to the H-1B filing process under this rule are an important part of that initiative.
According to the agency from April 1, 2008, employers can file petitions requesting H-1B workers for fiscal year 2009 employment starting on October 1, 2008.
The Congress has set a limit of 65,000 for most H-1B workers for the fiscal 2009.
Additionally, the first 20,000 H-1B workers who have a US Master’s degree or higher are exempted from the cap.
Under current procedures, which are not changed by this rule, once USCIS receives 20,000 petitions for aliens with a US Master’s degree or higher, all other cases requesting the educational exemption are counted toward the 65,000 cap.
Once the 65,000 cap is reached for a fiscal year, USCIS will announce that the cap has been filled and reject further petitions subject to the cap.
The rule also stipulates that if USCIS determines the number of H-1B petitions received meets the cap within the first five business days of accepting applications for the coming fiscal year, USCIS will apply a random selection process among all H-1B petitions received during this time period.
“If the 20,000 advanced degree limit is reached during the first five business days, USCIS will randomly select from those petitions ahead of conducting the random selection for the 65,000 limit. Petitions subject to the 20,000 limit that are not selected in that random selection will be considered with the other H-1B petitions in the random selection for the 65,000 limit,” the agency said.
The rule further clarifies that USCIS will deny petitions that incorrectly claim an exemption from any H-1B numerical limits and those filing fees will not be returned. Source: PTI

Actor Raghuvaran passed away in chennai this morning due to cardiac arrest. He was admitted in the intensive medical care unit of Mehta hospital for the past few weeks. He was 59 years old and has acted in several Tamil, Malyalam, Telgu and Hindi movies.
He became famous with his role as the protagonist of a Tamil soap opera, “Oru Manidhanin Kadhai” (One Man’s Story), about a well-to-do man who becomes an alcoholic and faces the consequent difficulties. Unfortunately, in real life too, he is known for his controversial drug addiction. His family split on this regard, and he has also undergone deaddiction courses. His wife Rohini split from him due to this. The couple have a son who is 8 years old.
Raghuvaran was born on December 11th 1948. He debuted in the award winning film, Ezhavathu Manithan (1982) and is the most loved villan of Tamil Cinema. Silla Nerangalil which released on Feb 29th 2008 became his last released movie. He had bagged many awards, including the Tamil Nadu government’s ‘Kalaimamani’ award and best character artiste award.
His funeral will be held this evening, family sources said.
Man works for 14 years after retirement without salary shocking news shocking story
A former employee of a health centre in Howrah district continues his "job" even after 14 years of his retirement, and that too without remuneration, due to his passion to work.
Rabindranath Bhadra, a former employee of Jagatballavpur Block Health Centre, still gets ready and set off to work by 6.00 am daily as was his routine before his retirement in 1995.
"He feels ill if he stops working. Once, we had stopped him from following his gruelling routine. But he started feeling depressed and started developing cardiac problems and so we have allowed him to work so he stays fit and happy," said his wife, Suniti.
The health centre authorities and staff say that Bhadra is too good a worker to miss out and has become indispensable for the smooth functioning of the institution.
"We have become dependent on him after his retirement. If he doesn't come for a day day we face a lot of problems. He is indispensable," Medical officer of Jagatballavpur Block Health Centre, Rupanjali Biswas said.
Asked whether he wanted to be get paid for his services to the government, Bhadra said "I get my pension and that is enough for me and so why should I ask for more?"
He joined 35 years ago as a Group D employee at the Health Centre at a monthly salary of Rs 90.
Bhadra was transferred to other health centres in the district during his service and after his retirement, he returned to the place where he began his work life.
He now gets a monthly pension of Rs 2700.
Bhadra's work is to take down names of outdoor patients and clean up rooms before the arrival of doctors. He also provides primary treatment to the patients and even arranges food for doctors.
"He has become so much a part of our health centre that we can never think of him as an outsider. When he doesn't come it becomes a problem for us because none have been assigned the work he does," said one employee.
Bhadra, on his part, said "I want to continue to work till I die." With two sons and wife Suniti, Bhadra leads a peaceful life at the home he built at Mondalpara in Amta, a remote area in the district.

She says the idea of working with her 'sister's co-star' makes her nervous. 'Although we've done Priyadarshan's 'Kyon Ki...' before, I always get nervous working with Salman. He was my sister's hero long before we were paired together. And now to be doing a film with him,' Kareena told IANS. Kareena started shooting Tuesday at Film City at the outskirts of Mumbai. Kareena and Salman were expected to serenade to immortality in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's 'Bajirao Mastani', but the film never happened. She was also signed for Salman's home production 'My Punjabi Nikaah'. That never happened either.
Kareena chuckles in disbelief.
''Main Aur Mrs. Khanna' is an intensely romantic film. I don't think Salman has done a pure love story like this before. Neither have I. Sohail is also in the film.'
Interestingly, this is the first time in her distinguished career that Kareena will be working with a debutant director Prem Soni.
'He's very talented. It wouldn't matter even if he wasn't - I'm doing it for Salman,' said Kareena emotionally.

The Tamil Nadu Government today denied any irregularities in the purchase of land by Tamil superstar Rajnikanth.
Tamil Nadu Tourism and Registration Minister N Suresh Rajan in a statement here denied reports in a section of the press in this regard and said there was no revenue loss to the government.
He said Rajnikanth had purchased the land at Kannikaiper in Tiruvallur district and had registered it on January four last year along with the seller by personally visiting the Registrar’s office.
The guideline value of the property purchased by the actor on that day was Rs 2,003,963.50. But Mr Rajnikanth had registered it for Rs 21 lakh, by paying Rs 96,036.50 more than the guideline value.
He had also paid the Stamp paper charges to the tune of Rs 1,68,000 and also the registration fees of Rs 21,000.
“So there is no loss of any revenue to the government by way of this land transaction” the Minister said and denied any irregularities in the deal. Source: UNI
